Atlanta, GA – January 09, 2018 – In a move that signals their continued effort to pioneer the optimal candidate experience, InfoMart announced today the expansion of their ASAP Connect platform to include gender non-binary identifiers.  Already a global leader in identity and background screening technology, InfoMart now leads the field in gender identity inclusion.  Candidates will select from traditional binary options male or female, indicate gender non-binary, or simply choose other and self-identify as they see fit.

While InfoMart continues to push their own applications forward, they recognize the effort required to mirror this change where the screening data resides, and are committed to putting in the work alongside their data partners.  Courthouses, state departments of motor vehicles, and other government agencies that provide screening results continue to limit options to male/female, though both California and Oregon have adopted measures to provide for a third option.  Expanding gender identifiers to at least a third option reflects InfoMart’s global customer base, as non-binary identifiers have become legal commonplace in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, and Nepal, among others.
