How we work
Background screening with a point of view.
We are consultative by nature. That means we learn your industry before we make recommendations, ask questions before we quote, and stay involved long after implementation. Our average client relationship lasts more than two decades, and we earn that every day.
Human-first service
One dedicated US-based representative manages your account, answers the phone across our 14-hour operational day, and works alongside our in-house Applicant Advocates to support your candidates directly.
Consultative partnership
We learn your business before we recommend anything and stay involved well past launch.
Technology that fits your world
RESTful API, ATS/HRIS integration, and a mobile-first candidate experience that fits into your existing process.
Diversity as a competitive advantage
Woman-owned since day one, WBENC-certified, and committed to the idea that diverse teams make better decisions.
Accreditations & Certifications
Background screening held to the highest standard.
Each of these credentials is an independent, third-party verification of our standards and practices. Our clients deserve more than our word for it.
PBSA Accreditation
PBSA accreditation is one of the background screening industry’s most important third-party credentials. It recognizes companies that meet measurable standards of competence, compliance, and accountability, as governed by the Background Screening Credentialing Council (BSCC).
InfoMart has been a founding member of PBSA since the association was established and has held accreditation ever since. We had a hand in writing the standards the industry follows today.

Our History
We were there when the industry was born. We helped build it.
InfoMart entered background screening in 1989, when the industry was still figuring out what it was. Founder Tammy Cohen built the first client-facing application in the industry and developed a due diligence criminal search that has since become standard practice across background screening. She has been introducing first-to-market innovations ever since.
As a founding member of the Professional Background Screening Association, InfoMart had a hand in writing the standards that continue to guide the background screening industry.
Those 35+ years mean we’ve seen every trend this industry has produced, and we know the difference between what lasts and what doesn’t.
InfoMart is still owned by its founder. Background checks exist to help people get jobs, and that conviction has never changed. Neither has our commitment to answering the phone.
Our Team
The team behind the reputation.
25+ average years of background screening experience across InfoMart’s leadership team. That kind of institutional knowledge doesn’t come from anywhere else.

Tammy Cohen, PHR & SHRM-CP
Founder & Chief Visionary Officer
Tammy Cohen founded InfoMart in 1989, when the background screening industry was still figuring out what it was. She built the first client-facing application in the industry herself, along with a due diligence criminal search model that has since become standard practice across the industry.
Dubbed the “Queen of Screen” by industry peers, Tammy has spent more than three decades introducing capabilities before the industry knew to ask for them. She developed the first fully compliant sanctions search and most recently led InfoMart’s identity services suite, modernizing candidate onboarding in ways that are still first to market.
A founding member of the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA), Tammy’s recognitions include Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Top 25 Women-Owned Firms, Enterprising Women Magazine’s Enterprising Women of the Year, and a commendation in the 152nd Congressional Record.
InfoMart is still hers, and she’s still building.
