Frequently Asked Questions
How can I submit my data and receive results from InfoMart?

The most efficient and cost-saving method of data transfer is through the Internet using InfoMart's web-based software WebASAP. We also accept other forms of data transfer including fax, telephone, email, HRIS software integration, and our Windows-based software, WinASAP.

How long will it take to receive my background check?

Certain checks are available immediately online. Most services are completed within three days. Occasionally a report may run past 3 days when InfoMart must obtain record information from courts that archive past criminal records or if there are computer difficulties in a particular county.

Are there any hardware requirements to use WebASAP?

There are no hardware equipment requirements to use WebASAP. The user only needs Internet access and a web browser

What are the browser requirements for using WebASAP?

WebASAP works best through Microsoft's Internet Explorer 5.5 and higher, but other browsers have been tested and provide equivalent functionality. It is not recommended to run WebASAP on Internet Explorer below version 5.0. The user may choose to optionally view documents in PDF format, which would require the installation of Adobe Acrobat. (The Acrobat Reader is available as a free download).

I am concerned about the confidentiality of my applicant data. Is WebASAP secure?

WebASAP is fully secure. Information coming into InfoMart is protected by 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. The web server software is up-to-date with all available patches, and new patches are applied in an expedient fashion. No applicant data is stored on the web server, except for temporary files used when printing the background screening results. WebASAP users must sign on with a three-part credential - a user name, a password, and an account number. The application will also time-out after 15 minutes of inactivity requiring the user to be re-authenticated before accessing background check data.

Does WebASAP handle Adverse Action?

WebASAP assures FCRA compliance by providing the capability to automatically produce state-specific adverse action documentation. By pressing just one button, you can automatically send all necessary documents directly to the candidate via email or fax. Or, you can choose to have the software print all documentation, which is formatted for a standard window envelope. In addition, WebASAP keeps a log of all adverse action letters and displays this log within the application.

Can WebASAP support multiple locations and/or billing codes?

Yes, WebASAP easily allows for multiple users and multiple locations. Individual HR professionals, data entry clerks, or managers can be assigned different levels of access. Some users may be able to only input data, while others may view the final completed profile. "Super users" can be created who are able to view, in real time, enterprise-wide activity. Billing codes are used to identify each business unit, denoted by an account number. Invoices generated for each account can be easily sorted and summarized by billing code, to reflect the total amount spent by location.

How much does WebASAP cost?

WebASAP is provided free of charge to all clients. There is no fee for accessing WebASAP to enter, view and manage your results 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. While not typical, there may be a nominal fee to integrate WebASAP with your existing HRIS system depending on the size and scope of the project.
