InfoMart's New JobFit and Character Assessment Screening Services JobFit
The InfoMart JobFit Assessment is designed to measure an individual's interpersonal and cognitive competencies in the areas most critical to job performance across a wide range of jobs. There are seven overall competencies measured through the InfoMart JobFit Assessment:

  • Rules - consistency, ability to deal with change, need for structure, ability to follow rules and policies
  • Extroversion - need to work with others, communication of enthusiasm, ability to talk or listen
  • Assertiveness - decision making, selling and closing abilities, ability to handle confrontation, willingness to take direction from others
  • Teaming - teamwork, collaboration with others, competitiveness
  • Sensitivity - emotional stability, handling of criticism and feedback, dealing with stress
  • Organization - planning, spontaneity, time management attitudes, ability to handle details
  • Social Desirability - an internal validity scale to determine if the candidate is being frank with their answers

The InfoMart JobFit Assessment also measures cognitive competencies with a General Reasoning construct - speed of learning, problem solving ability, logical thinking, strategic vs. tactical focus. The JobFit Assessment is a true 6th generation, normative instrument that is designed specifically for business use. It requires no expert interpretation and is easily understood by HR professionals and hiring managers alike.

Character Assessment
The InfoMart Character Assessment is a cost-effective screening tool for identifying job applicants whose behavior, attitudes, and work-related values are likely to interfere with their success as employees. The InfoMart Character Assessment yields an objectively generated report addressing the applicant's degree of potential concern about the following areas:

  • Honesty - Workplace honesty; condoning dishonesty by others; theft.
  • Dependability - Reliability, organization, and conscientiousness.
  • Substance Abuse - Alcohol and/or illegal drug use.
  • Aggression - Hostility, disruption, and anger management.
  • Computer Abuse - Use of computer equipment for work-related purposes only.
  • Sexual Harassment - Behavior and attitude regarding sexuality.
  • Overall Concern - General deviant behavior and attitude. High scorers are likely to be problematic employees.
  • Good Impression - Acknowledging normal faults and imperfections. Scores on this scale can indicate if the applicant underreported their negative behaviors in an effort to make a good impression.

Employee selection is critical, and hiring mistakes are costly. Avoiding just one hiring mistake can cover the cost of performing an InfoMart JobFit or Character Assessment.
