The Commercial Driver License Information System (CDLIS) is a database administered by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA). As mandated by the Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1986, CDLIS supports the issuance of commercial driver licenses by jurisdictions and assists them in meeting the basic tenet "that each driver, nationwide, have only one driver license and one record."

Companies that employ commercial drivers are considered by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to be the first line of defense for keeping bad drivers off the road. FMCSA regulations prohibit employers from knowingly using a driver who has more than one license or whose license is suspended, revoked or canceled, or is disqualified from driving.

InfoMart's CDLIS Search provides:

  • Current Jurisdictional State Driver's License Number
  • Social Security Number Match
  • Name and Date of Birth
  • Up to 3 Previously-Held CDL Numbers
  • Driver AKA Information
