Tammy Cohen Named 2006 Small Business Person of the Year Finalist

InfoMart President and Chair Tammy Cohen was recently honored by the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce as one of only five finalists for the organization's 2006 Small Business Person of the Year Award. The annual award is given to a small business person whose contributions to Atlanta's civic and business community include innovative ideas, exceptional leadership abilities and unique business strategies.

"I am proud to be a part of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce," said Cohen, "and I am truly honored to be a finalist for such a prestigious award from such an esteemed organization."

Tammy was recognized for her perseverance and success in the face of overwhelming business obstacles, creating a motivating, rewarding and diverse work environment at InfoMart and her dedication to the advancement of women both within her company and her community. Also applauded was her commitment to community involvement, including her involvement in the founding of the Academy of Women Leaders – a female leadership institute that will empower the next generation of female leaders through personal mentoring from some of Atlanta's top women business leaders – and her role in a New Orleans rescue mission in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
