INSIDE INFOMART
InfoMart Earns HR-XML Certification

Leading the way in background screening solutions and technology for over 16 years, InfoMart recently bolstered the company's reputation for technological innovation by earning HR-XML certification from the HR-XML Consortium. The HR-XML Certified logo, now displayed on the home page of our website, signals that InfoMart is a technology leader and is ready to integrate flexibly with our customers and partners.

XML, or Extensible Markup Language, is a technology that was designed specifically for the Internet. Because it is simple and Internet-ready, XML is embraced and strongly supported by technology leaders such as IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP and Sun. Because of this broad support, XML is the solution to turn to for data exchanges.

So, what does this mean for InfoMart clients? Put simply, savings in time and money. Discovery, analysis, custom interface development and ongoing maintenance account for 60 to 70 percent of the cost of HR information systems. Data interchange standards, such as those developed by the HR-XML Consortium, can reduce the amount of expensive customization required to make implementations of HR solutions productive.

The HR-XML Consortium is an international non-profit organization that, through standards and certifications, seeks to spare organizations from the risk of having to negotiate and agree upon data exchange mechanisms on an ad-hoc basis.
