InfoMart is Going Green!

INSIDE INFOMART
InfoMart is Going Green!

As with many issues that touch our business, our employees and our community, InfoMart is committed to environmental preservation and conservation. That's why it is our policy to reduce our impact on the planet in part through recycling all aluminum, paper and plastic waste that is produced by our company. In addition, our building is outfitted with low-flow bathroom fixtures and energy-efficient lighting.

To promote these environmentally-friendly efforts and establish new green policies and initiatives, InfoMart created a company task force known as the Green Team. The Green Team is responsible for promoting internal environmental awareness while campaigning for employees to make positive changes for the planet in their homes and communities.

InfoMart is pleased with our green efforts to date, but we realize that there is still much we can do as a company to help our planet. That's why, in time for Earth Day 2008, InfoMart will establish a Contract with the Earth. This document will outline the specific ways that InfoMart will reduce our impact on the environment. For this company-wide initiative, we have called upon our employees to make suggestions for everyday ways that they can help the environment in their job. Though the Contract with the Earth is not yet complete, we have received a number of sustainable suggestions that, once implemented, will make for a greener future for InfoMart and for the planet.

In addition, InfoMart is a proud sponsor of Earth Share of Georgia's Earth Day 2008 activities. These activities include the organization's Corporate Green Day Challenge, during which InfoMart volunteers will play in the dirt and help preserve a valuable green space and community resource at Oakhurst Community Garden in Decatur, Georgia.
